Access & Eligibility
The NIStructE Applicants Portal is for individuals applying for membership of the Nigerian Institution of Structural Engineers. Access is granted upon successful registration and email verification.
Acceptable Use
- You may not share your login credentials with any other person.
- You may not submit false or misleading information in your application.
- You may not attempt to access accounts or data that do not belong to you.
- Documents uploaded must be genuine certified copies of the originals.
Application Process
Submission of an application does not guarantee admission to NIStructE membership. All applications are subject to review and approval by the Admissions Committee. NIStructE reserves the right to reject any application without obligation to provide reasons.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify the Secretariat immediately at info@nistructe.org.ng if you suspect unauthorised access.
Fees
Application fees paid are non-refundable once processing has commenced. Annual dues become payable upon successful admission to membership.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the portal constitutes acceptance of the current terms.

Data We Collect
When you register on the NIStructE Applicants Portal, we collect personal information you provide including your name, email address, phone number, professional background, and any documents you upload as part of your membership application.
How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your applicant account
- To process and evaluate your membership application
- To communicate with you about your application status
- To verify your identity and professional credentials
- To send official notifications regarding events and admissions
Data Security
Your password is stored using a one-way cryptographic hash and is never accessible in plain text. Session data is protected with secure, HTTP-only cookies. Uploaded documents are stored on our secure servers and are only accessible to authorised NIStructE staff.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Your information may be reviewed by members of the NIStructE Admissions Committee solely for the purpose of evaluating your application.
Cookies
We use a session cookie solely for authentication. No tracking or advertising cookies are used on this portal.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting the NIStructE Secretariat at info@nistructe.org.ng.
